Rock and Roll and it's beginnings!

Rock and roll began as a hybrid of many differant forms of Music, Blues, Jazz, country, and others!  Most Rock Historians believe the first Rock and roll song to be "Rocket 88" by the Delta Kings.  Bill Haley and the comets were the first true superstars of Rock and Roll!  They had the first Rock hit to reach Billboards singles charts with 1953's "Crazy Man Crazy" and, of course the first number one Rock hit in 1954 with the legendary "Rock around the Clock"

Elvis Presly! The King of Rock and Roll!

Elvis was Rock and Rolls first true Superstar!  It's True That Bill Hailey predated the King and had the first number one Rock and Roll Hit, but Elvis popularity thrived until the day he died and Haileys would wane before 1960!

The British Invasion took America by storm in the 1960's

American Rock Music was in shambles!  Elvis stint in the army took america's king away for a couple of years!  Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry both had scandles that rocked their careers.  Buddy holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper would die in a plane crash and Little Richard would become a minister!  All of these events and more would pave the way for the British Invasion!

Rock and rolls evolution through the early years!

The 1950's saw the birth of Rock and Roll!  This musical form had a raw energy that no other could beat!  Parents hated it and teenagers loved it!  Many would consider Rock to be the Devils music

The 1960's saw Rock and roll grow up!  Political unrest and social upheaval would make young people look at the world in a differant light.  Young people would use Rock music to protest!

The 1970's saw Rock splinter off into differant directions Heavy Metal, Disco, glam, punk, and others!  All forms would have their origions in the 1960's and would branch out!

Rock and Roll in the Present day!

The 1980's saw Rock music come together! All forms of Music would seem to become more refined and polished! Even Kiss had to rediscover themselves and get rid of the make-up!

The 1990's saw Rock and Roll fuse with other genre's to create interesting hybrids!  Rock fused with country and would also fuse with Rap and jazz!  acts like Kid rock, Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park took rock music to a new height!  Rock Music itself, as we have seen, began as a hybrid and by the end of the decade would come full circle!

The New Millinium has just begun and "Legends of Rock" will be there to see what Rock and Roll will evolve into next!

The Beatles! They redefined Rock Music!

The Beatles led the way for other British imports like The Rolling Stones, The Dave Clark 5, The Who and many more

Two classic acts from the seventies on one great tour!

1973 was a pivotal year for hard rock bands!  both Kiss and Aerosmith got their start that year!  their careers would parallel through the coming years!  both bands hit it big in 1975 and both would undergo an unfocused period in the late seventies and early eighties!  both would have to regroup and stage major comebacks!  and finaly, both would tour together in 2003 their thirtieth anniversary!
